Janine A. Thomas

Janine A. Thomas earned a master's degree in the School of Leadership & Professional Advancement at Duquesne University & a bachelor's in Criminal Justice from the University of Pittsburgh. Janine helped maintain an $8 million contract with the City of Pittsburgh Street Lighting Dept. for 5 yrs. She drove an Arrowboard truck throughout the City of Pgh on midnight & acted as a physical support for her co-workers who created, repaired & restored electricity throughout the city limits. She worked overtime on special projects donated to the City by DLCO to help beautify & light many of the city's countless bridges & streets. Janine received a special commendation while working as a Field Tech for the most documented poles in a single day. Janine was also an active member of the Brotherhood of Electrical Unions. She is published in a variety of Poetic Anthologies and a published photographer in the book 'The Jazz and Blues Lover's Guide to U.S.' written by Christiane Bird of NY. With her free time she enjoys internat'l travel, writing, reading & a continued interest in being a Jazz Archivist thru her photography.
